When a dear one departs, I cherish this novel - after a while - once more.
Brilliant and comforting. Unsparing and Personally felt. Thanks, Evan.

One of my favourites. I tried to get my wife to read it after some time had past following the death of her father. She didn't. I divorced her.
Well, not really.

I'm in one of these periods when I read a lot of Hunter novels. Some I read again and some I read for the first time. This one I had never read before. Evan's writing is as always excellent! Read it!

Here I go again:
My dear father. 97 years of age. A blessing: His life and his death. And this Evan Hunter novel as a comfort. |
